All new Data Vault Alliance Forums are open!
Great news for all fans and followers of #DataVault – Ask DVA forums are up and running!
You can sign up at https://forums.datavaultalliance.com (NB: No longer active, please see my more recent post on the new site.)
These all new forums are the sanctioned voice of DVA (Data Vault Alliance). That means you can expect the answers will be reviewed and in compliance with data vault standards and best practices as taught by Dan Linstedt and all the authorized DV 2.0 CDVP trainers. Hopefully this will help reduce confusion in the market and assist organizations in successfully applying the approach.
Other (important) details:
- 100% free – to anyone and everyone
- Anyone that has an account can: reply, or post a new topic.
- 100% readable by guests – without ever creating an account
- 100% moderated (by DVA for starters, by a few others that have already agreed to moderate)
- Members can POST POLLS!!!
And better still, the forums are OPEN to both Business and Technical questions!!
You can expect answers to your toughest data vault questions through examples, best practices, and standards.

Thanks, Kent – sorry to keep bugging you but while that URL did indeed work, I can’t seem to figure out how to create an account. I even tried the forgot my password route with my email – no luck.
Indeed, while trying i managed to log in:https://forums.datavaultalliance.com/but says “Sorry! You don’t have permission to perform this action.”, probably only once payed students can access?So i wonder what are active forums websites URLs related to DVA since im part for long time of dv uk user group, and highly interested on Data Vault pattern, would like to be aware of DVA forums, or webminars etc.. and hopefully they free of access ?Thanks Kent ~
Sorry everyone but turns out we hit the middle of the transition from the forums on DVA to DVUnited. Dan will notify me once the new site is ready for launch. Once he does, I will put up a new post with the information and probably just delete this post since it is now outdated.
Meanwhile, you can still peruse the articles on datavaultalliance.com and you may be able to read old forum posts, just not interact or add new ones.
Thanks for the update, Kent! Currently can’t seem to read the old forums without an account but I will wait for the new site and hope some of those great looking threads might get migrated (e.g. Ask the Experts – the one below on transactions is especially interesting to me).
